The best parading club went to Senators, who was spectacular and well uniformed. This was followed by the long awaited Open Day Rally & Uniform Parade. The Uniform parade was won by Volcanoes Sports Club. The rally had a total of 13 teams, including an all male team, Navigators. Between the competitive playing of the all female teams and the breathtaking, flamboyant playing of of the all male team, the crowd was always treated to exciting games. The end of the day saw Crusaders ‘A’ winning the rally with Upsetters, 3 time A1 Division League Champions, who took last year off coming second. New Horizon that travelled from Hartford, Connecticut was third. The most disciplined team went to United SPorts Club and Jackie of MINC was awarded the MVP of the tournament. With this completed, it is now onto the CANA 2007 Summer League. This was replayed later on the local news that night!! What a fantastic achievement!!! Throughout the day New York Navigators had some very good games, one of them being the Waves and the other against MINC to whom found themselves playing again in the finals. … read more NY-NAVIGATORS.COMJune 3rd, 2007 by Web Admin under GeneralAs of midnight on June 30st 2007, the new URL to the Official Website of the New York Navigators Men’s Netball Club will be http://www.ny-navigators.com. Love in LaLa Land TournamentFebruary 17th, 2006 by Web Admin under Netball NewsIt all started at the Australian Festival netball tournament in Nashville, September of 2005 when the brilliant idea was voiced – “Let’s invite teams from all over the country to Santa Monica to play – and let’s do it around Valentine’s Day, we’ll call it the “Love in Lalaland Tournament””. Who would have known that Jo O’Key would take that idea and fly with it? Well in retrospect we all should have known. What an astounding success. Six teams traveling to LA from as far away as New York and Virgina, and 4 – yes you read right, 4 Waves teams – a record! This was the biggest netball tournament the west coast has ever seen and it promises to be even bigger and better next year! … read more |
